Frost made his Broadway debut and won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for transforming into the late King of Pop, making him the youngest solo recipient of the award in history.
MJ the Musical centres around rehearsals for Michael Jackson’s 1992 Dangerous World Tour. When an MTV camera crew arrives to interview Jackson for a documentary, the singer gradually opens up about his turbulent backstory and career. His memories come to life with some of his most famous songs, including “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” “Thriller,” and “Smooth Criminal,” and a book by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage.
