The Highlights

Doge's Palace: Visit the halls where former masters held the power and get swept away by the medieval charm of Venice. Your qualified and experienced guide will tell you all about the aristocrats who used to rule in those ancient palaces. Marvel at the beautiful decoration and masterpieces, the incredibly detailed and rich Golden Staircase; Discover the opposite of this amazing richness and beauty by walking over the famous Bridge of Sighs and entering the Venetian prison, bringing to life the anguish and fear the prisoners of the Most Serene Republic used to suffer.

- The prison and the armory of the Doge's Palace are not wheelchair-accessible, as a result, unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate guests with mobility impairments, wheelchairs or strollers on this tour.
- Attention: A correct dress code is absolutely requested for entering the Basilica and the Palace. Tank tops, strapless shirts, short shorts or sandals are thereby strictly forbidden!
- Occasionally the Doge's Palace can be closed to the public, without previous notice, due to high tides or particular festivities. In the case in which the basilica is closed, the guide will give you explanations from the outside.
